Why Hello There…I’m Ana. Nice To Meet You.

To be honest, this whole blogging concept is still a bit new to me. I’m blazing my way through the world of social media and loving every minute of it, so I decided I should share it. No, I’m not a “guru” or an “expert” BUT I am a 29 year old who has immersed herself into this crazy world and had some amazing results.

I decided to start this blog because I realized that even though information regarding social media, online reputation, and social networking platforms is available everywhere…in mass…a lot of the info is hard to sift through and understand. This blog is a way for me to write what I learn and share it with you, in a way that is easily relatable and hopefully even easier to implement into your life. I write from my own personal experiences, no preaching from the podium here.

To start, yes…I do have credibility, I’m not just someone who decided yesterday that I wanted to trek down this path (oh, believe me, there are plenty of those around). Currently, I’m a Senior at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in Marketing, was just hired as the Social Media Marketer for ReTrak by Emerge Technologies, and also work as a Freelance Consultant focusing on Online Reputation Management and Social Media Strategizing for Small Businesses. I’ve consulted with students from high school to students in Grad programs, individuals in the job market, and CEO’s in personal branding and online reputation management. I’ve also strategized with entrepreneurs, non-profits, Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultants, and small business owners in the service industry on establishing a social media presence. All of this, combined with my own personal life experience, is what gives me insight into this crazy digital world.

Overall, I believe that everyone can make the most of what we use daily, the internet, if they just have a better understanding of how to use it. I’m just here to share the info that can hopefully help you. Everything I post is my own opinion for the most part and just to give you fair warning, you’ll probably get a good sense of my personality and humor throughout the site. A little bit of sarcasm never hurts when trying to get your point across.
